At the present time the clinic corresponds a complex intended for in-patient treatment of 300 patients
and consultative out-patient reception up to 136 patients a day. At the VRCOH there were
established 6 in-patient units : 2 theurapeutical, 2 surgical and–single in
the region – children’s and glaucomatous ones.

In
the consultative out-patient department
the regional consulting room of children’s vision protection is functioning as well as the glaucoma surgery and that of the ocular prosthetics.
The first ophthalmologic aid surgery is open round-the-clock.
In addition to the aforementioned units on the basis of the hospital there function:
- interregional laser center;
- operational unit;
- department of procurement and preservation of tissues (Ophthalmic bank);
- contact correction of vision laboratory;
- physiotherapeutic unit (PÒU)
- Clinicodiagnostic laboratory (CDL)
- Chair of Ophthalmology at the Burdenko VSMA (Voronezh State Medical Academy)
The Voronezh Regional Clinical Ophthalmological Hospital provides an extensive range of medical services both
paid and those rendered within the bounds of OMI (obligatory medical insurance) program
in the city of Voronezh and Voronezh region.The doctors working for the hospital regularly leave the town for the regional
districts using
a special vehicle equipped with a self-contained mobile diagnostic ophthalmologic complex.
Every year on the basis of the hospital young Russian and foreign specialists have proper training
(internship doctors, house surgeons). The hospital staff take constant part in research activities,
conferences and symposiums taking place both in Russia and abroad. The clinic works in close collaboration
with other treatment-and-prophylaxis institutions (Voronezh Regional Clinical Hospital ¹1, Voronezh Regional
Children’s Clinical Hospital, Voronezh Regional Diagnostic Center and the others) às well as the Burdenko
Voronezh State Medical Academy.
